One two-month cruise through the Australian Coast is being halted following the fatal incident of an older lady who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a distant island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the party for a pause. The liner left without her and went back several hours later after the ship staff became aware the woman was missing.

An extensive hunt discovered her remains the next day.

Investigative bodies are investigating the event, together with investigators and the state coroner.
